Customer Feedback

Deb Ward of J T Ward Joinery Ltd says " Signing up to the Focus scheme was the best thing we've ever done!"

"We've been able to access excellent training, advice and support without having to travel miles."

"The training seminars are excellent.  They can be one to three day courses or just bite size 2 hour meetings which you can fit into your working day.  Undoubtedly the best part - is that they are absolutely free!"

"We are members of BEMS and have had an environmental assessment, received training and advice on waste management and now have our own environmental policy."

"In the present climate we all need some extra help and being part of the Focus Project will give us the extra support we need."

One aspect of the Focus project is a new service delivered by Success Matrix to provide businesses with 1:1 tailored business support. This service is intended to try to help businesses fulfil their potential within the South Holland area. The service is being provided by Reg Tibbitts a Business Adviser with 20 years experience and the very first few businesses have already started to see the benefits.

Reg initially meets with the Owner/ Manager of each business to establish the current 'situation' of the business and establish hopes, aspirations and growth potential.

Following an initial meeting Reg will produce a brief Situation Commentary from the information gathered, which would include a number of recommendations aimed at improving business efficiency and business competitiveness - potentially linked to:

  • Planning
  • Financial Management
  • Marketing
  • Utilsation of technology

The Situation Commentary may also highlight where the business can benefit from taking advantage of other aspects of the Focus partnership services.

In order to ensure effective progress Reg will provide guidance on Action Planning by telephone/ email as required and will undertake a follow up meeting with each business to ascertain progress on recommendations and identify impact of aspects of the service provided and being accessed.
